A Business Trip Adventure

I have started my first corporate job and with it comes a lot of new exciting adventures.

I recently went on my first ever business trip. And so, I will share a peak at my standard hotel room, from my standard business trip, someplace in the middle of America. A mundane trip for many, but for me it was an exciting adventure marking the beginning of what I hope will be an even more exciting career! Following my first ever business trip Sam and I attended the company holiday party. I think we clean up pretty well, but I'll let you be the judge.

Work hard, play hard, adventure hard!

A Christmas Season of Adventures

Happy New Year, 2014 is going to be a great year!

Between visiting New Hampshire during the holidays and running around Cincinnati nights and weekends, we have been having so much fun. So, I thought I would give a recap of the season. Sam and I had dates all over the city in December.

We attended Santa-con, a crazy fun Santa-themed bar crawl around downtown. Just another reason why it is the most wonderful time of the year...

We also attended Christmas on the square, complete with fireworks, ice skating, and caroling. It was a windy night, but the spirit of Christmas was alive and well.

We went to Festival of Lights at the zoo. It's a really great evening date seeing the millions of lights illuminating the zoo and creating a whimsical backdrop to explore.

We attended Sam's perish during advent. This is a church that knows how to do Christmas big. The displays were amazing. My favorite part was the hallway flanked floor to ceiling with creches from countries around the world.

During Christmas with Sam's family we opened gifts, ate the traditional casserole, lounged in pajamas, went out to a lovely dinner, and decorated Christmas cookies.

We had a fun night out with some of my dearest friends while in NH. I don't get to see them nearly enough, but every time I do they never disappoint, and we immediately fall back into comfortable conversation as if no time has passed. I'll love them forever!

And, we had a lot of cozy evenings in enjoying our tree and a sugar cookie or two!
Well, that's our quick update. I hope you had a happy and blessed holiday season.

Until next time, continue to have adventures together!
