An Oliver Winery Adventure

Sam and I had a fun adventure a couple of weekends ago when we visited Sam's brother and sister-in-law in Bloomington, Indiana. They live close to a winery and so, when the idea of a little winery visit was suggested I leapt at the opportunity. Oliver Winery is nestled on a cozy property covered in greenery and bursting with springtime buds, it was a beautiful place to spend a lazy Sunday. The winery offers free tours and a budget-friendly wine tasting. After partaking in both of these offerings we purchased a bottle of red, pulled out some snacks (we came prepared) and sat down on the winery terrace overlooking the landscaped property.

Oak barrels where some of the dry red wines are stored.

A zinfandel and some light nosh.
More sunny summer adventures to come!

An Indiana Craft Beer Festival

It's hard to put into words how cool a craft beer festival held in an abandoned lime stone factory is but, I tried to capture some of the uniqueness from the day. It was an afternoon of fun, and beer, and one would be hard pressed to find a more fun festival on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The sheer number of people the venue held comfortably was amazing, and the beers -- well they were some of the most unique and delicious brews I have ever had the pleasure of sampling. It was (yet another) beer-filled adventure. Can you tell the mid-west likes its beer?

The beer crowd

DANGER! Just one of the tons of corky accents found in this neat venue.

The tasting glass provided at the festival.

Because, why wouldn't there be a hipster walking band.

Light beams.
Thanks -- Bloomington, Indiana!

We hope your spring has brought some new and fun adventures!

A Late St. Patty's Day Adventure

I know it's a  little late -- but, it was a fun day full of green!

Keep on adventuring!
